TLDR Life: LG wants your attention on this soundbar
LG wants your attention on this soundbar

The LG UltraGear GP9 has a 3D Surround sound + 7.1 3D Surround sound for your headphones, a 2600 mAh battery good for ~5 hours for portable use, built-in mic that is supposed to capture your voice only, and RGB speakers to boot.

+ 3D Surround Sound for a sound bar and a 7.1 3D Surround sound for your headphone, so perfect for audiophiles like me.
+ A built in mic that can filter out unwanted background noise akin to a headset.
+ RGB speakers are always nice when you have an RGB setup battlestation.
+ A 2600 mAh battery for portable use? LG is innovating again this time on gaming soundbars!

Something to consider:
- $499 price tag.
- I wonder how the LG UltraGear GP9's 20W amp would sound at $499. Should it sound better compared to my Razer Leviathan (another gaming soundbar which is significantly cheaper), Logitech G560 (very loud and RGB-able), and BOSE Companion 20 (loud and high quality). - The 2600 mAh battery is yet to be tested touted to last ~5 hours of "normal" use. But what is normal? I mean, I would crank this up.

The UltraGear GP9 is something that I'd definitely like to see and hear since I haven't brought a (gaming) sound bar to a barbecue party. I wonder how I'd look like dancing and waving this RGB soundbar around like I'm having a seizure. I hope I won't hit someone too. No one will mind since the Hi-res sound and RGB lights will draw the 'oohs and ahhs' from the crowd. But $499 is expensive. I like my Anker Soundcore Flare 2 and its RGB 360-degree sound. Will the UltraGear GP9 fare well on gaming with LG's Hi-RES Quad DAC and their DTS Headphone:X technology? I guess we'll find out soon.

The LG UltraGear GP9 is available at LG.COM $499 SRP.
