Animal Crossing: New Horizon's next free major update to release next week as well as its Switch 2 Edition.
The Switch 2 edition will have exclusive updates including increased graphics resolution, max 12 visitors on the island, megaphone item where players can callout villager names using the Switch 2 mic, and using the Switch 2 joycon as a mouse for decorations and drawing patterns.
The Switch 2 edition will be an optional upgrade.
Version 3.0 will introduce the Hotel Resort facility where players invite guests and decorate rooms.
New items, and villagers via Amiibo.
Slumber islands for sandbox and online coop play where players can design the host island together.
New QoL improvements such as increased storage limit, storing fauna, and better control handling when terraforming.
